Below, are the movies that were produced in 2009. The first was directed by Niels Arden Oplev and the last two were directed by Daniel Alfredson.

Joan Acocella wrote an unbiased review in the New Yorker about the books and films.  Her writing was refreshingly honest and she gives a pretty accurate account of the work. Despite what Acocella wrote about the movies being better than the books, I'd suggest reading the books before seeing the movies anyways. This is a crime thriller, not a runner up for the Nobel Prize for Literature. Try it out and judge for yourself.
